Pre-Med” Isn’t a Major It’s a Commitment.

Many students enter college pre-med without understanding the academic rigor, decision-making, or realities of medicine leading to burnout and major changes.

This camp helps students explore medicine safely and strategically, building clarity before commitment.

Students Will:

  • Understand how doctors think and diagnose

  • Explore medical innovation and technology

  • Gain confidence before choosing a medical pathway

  • Build college-level readiness in health sciences

 A Doctor’s View of Medicine

This course introduces students to how medicine works in practice, covering anatomy, medical technology, surgery, and the future of healthcare.

They Will Explore:

Session 1:  Anatomy & Physiology of Medicine
How body systems work together and how doctors interpret dysfunction..

Session 2: Medical Technology
Imaging, diagnostics, AI, robotics, and modern healthcare tools.

Session 3:  Introduction to Surgery
Surgical thinking, precision, safety, and innovation.

Session 4: The Future of Medicine
Personalized medicine, AI-driven care, biotech, and ethics.

Students gain real insight into medicine and clarity about their interests before choosing a path.

How This Camp Guides Medicine Pathways

Medicine is not just an interest it’s a long-term academic and personal commitment.
The Introduction to
Medicine Learning Camp helps students and families explore this path early, before college decisions, majors, and costly commitments are made.

Through guided exposure to anatomy, medical technology, surgery, and emerging healthcare fields, students gain the clarity needed to decide whether medicine

Medicine and bioscience require long-term commitment. This camp helps families decide early whether to pursue that direction.

After May, students can:

  • Confidently choose biology or health-science electives

  • Decide whether advanced science tracks make sense

  • Identify interest in medicine, neuroscience, genetics, or general biology

  • Plan future enrichment without pressure or burnout

Outcome: By the end of the program, students gain a conceptual understanding of genetics, the scientific reasoning behind modern medicine, and inspiration to pursue biological or health-science majors.

  • Confidently assess whether medicine or healthcare aligns with their interests and strengths

  • Understand what advanced biology, chemistry, and health-science tracks actually involve

  • Identify specific interests within medicine (clinical care, surgery, medical technology, research, or biotech)

  • Make informed choices about future coursework, enrichment, and pre-med exploration

  • Approach college planning with confidence — not pressure or burnout

Outcome: By the end of the Introduction to Medicine Learning Camp, students develop a foundational understanding of how medicine works in practice including human systems, diagnostic thinking, medical technology, and future innovations empowering them to pursue (or rule out) medical and health-science pathways with clarity and confidence.

Outcome: By the end of the program, students gain a conceptual understanding of genetics, the scientific reasoning behind modern medicine, and inspiration to pursue biological or health-science majors.

  • Simulate DNA extraction and gel electrophoresis experiments

  • Decode genetic sequences to identify mutations

  • Explore how CRISPR can “edit” genes

  • Debate ethical questions facing modern scientists

Introduction to Medicine Camps Often Cost $2,000+

We Deliver the Same Foundational Value for a Fraction of the Cost

Many pre-college medicine and biology programs charge thousands of dollars for brief, single-subject exposure.

Our Introduction to Medicine Learning Camp uses an expert-led, four-session model to deliver the same level of intellectual depth and enrichment for $400 while giving students a broader, more realistic understanding of medicine before college.

Instead of overcommitting early, students gain clarity efficiently, affordably, and without pressure.

💬 “My daughter discovered her passion for genetics through this program she’s now planning to major in biomedical engineering.”

INTRODUCTION TO MEDICINE (MAY)

Session 1: The Anatomy and Physiology of Medicine

In the first session, students learn about the anatomy, physiology, and bodily systems that are at the core of understanding medicine. Students explore the structure of the human body and how bodily systems like the nervous system, cardiovascular system, and respiratory system all work together to keep our bodies functioning.

Session 2: Medical Technology

In this session students learn about the fascinating and advanced technology that is now used by doctors and hospitals and to diagnose and treat patients. Students explore many different types of medical technology including MRIs, biosensors, gene editing technology, and neurotechnology.

Session 3: Introduction to Surgery

The third session of this camp gives the student an introduction to some of the surgeries that are done daily around the world, such as brain surgery and open-heart surgery.

Session 4: The Future of Medicine

In this final session students explore some of the cutting-edge research that is currently being done to take medicine into the future. Students explore advanced research topics such as gene editing, regenerative medicine, mRNA vaccines, and how AI is being used to advance medicine.
