Introduction to Neuroscience

College Is Too Expensive for Guesswork.

Most students pick a college major without ever experiencing the field then spend thousands switching paths. Give your student the chance to explore Neuroscience to see if understanding the brain, mind, and human behavior is truly their passion before college begins.

Don’t Let Your Student Choose Their Future Blindly

Every year, students commit to majors they barely understand — then change direction, losing time, motivation, and money

Our Neuroscience Learning Camp lets high-schoolers safely explore one of the most fascinating and fast-growing STEM fields before they commit.

By learning how the brain works, your student develops insight into medicine, psychology, cognitive science, and even AI — helping them make smarter, more confident academic choices.

Discover the Science of the Mind

Neuroscience connects biology, psychology, and technology to explain how we think, feel, and learn. This 1-month, 4-session camp is designed to spark curiosity and build college-level readiness.

Students Will:

Understand the human nervous system — how neurons transmit signals and process information.

Explore brain anatomy and function — connecting structure to emotion, cognition, and behavior.

Examine human cognition — how perception, memory, and learning occur in the brain.

See how neuroscience informs AI and technology — understanding parallels between neural and artificial networks.

Dr. BRIAN SALTZER

MATHEMATICAL PHYSICIST

INSTRUCTOR

Dr. Saltzer transforms complex science into meaningful, accessible learning for young minds. With decades of university teaching and over 25 textbooks published by Pearson and McGraw-Hill, he helps students connect math, biology, and physics in ways that inspire.

  • National awards for excellence in STEM education

  • More than 25 textbooks shaping how students learn worldwide

  • Former university professor mentoring future scientists

  • Known for making abstract concepts exciting and real

Real-World Neuroscience in Action

This isn’t memorizing brain parts — it’s exploring how the mind actually works.
Through live demonstrations, discussions, and interactive simulations, students will:

  • Trace how neurons transmit signals and form communication networks

  • Examine how perception, emotion, and memory arise from brain activity

  • Understand how neuroscience connects to medicine, robotics, and AI

  • Develop analytical and scientific reasoning skills that prepare them for college-level science

STILL NOT SURE?

INTRODUCTION TO NEUROSCIENCE (DECEMBER)

Session 1: The Human Nervous System

Students are introduced to the organization and function of the human nervous system. They’ll explore how neurons transmit electrical signals and communicate across networks to regulate thought, movement, and sensation.

Session 2: Structure and Function of the Human Brain

This session examines the major regions of the brain including the cerebrum, cerebellum, and brainstem—and how each supports emotion, memory, and behavior. Students will also discuss how brain anatomy influences learning and personality.

Session 3: Human Cognition

Students investigate how the brain processes information, focusing on perception, memory, and decision-making. Real-world examples help them connect neuroscience to daily life, education, and emerging research in mental health.

Session 4: AI and the Human Mind

In the final session, students explore the relationship between neuroscience and artificial intelligence, comparing how biological and artificial neural networks process data and learn from experience.
